Traders On The Culinary Seas

A shopping adventure
When news broke early in June of this year that Utah would welcome its first Trader Joe's mid-November, the announcement was met with excitement by many used to frequenting Utah's nearest location:  Trader Joe's in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately, all who were looking forward to shopping Trader Joe's for Thanksgiving mourned the loss of the opportunity when the store's original pre-Thanksgiving opening was pushed to late November, on account of construction delays.

Now, as November draws to a close, Utah will in fact welcome its first Trader Joe's location.

Because Trader Joe's is known to remove a product from its shelves if it doesn't sell well, customers will play a role in determining which items are sold based on how they spend their dollars.  Roughly a dozen new items are brought in each week. "It's all part of the shopping adventure at Trader Joe's."

Store hours will be 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, and due to Utah's liquor laws this particular location will not sell wine.

It's refreshing to have a new store in the valley.  Welcome, Trader Joe's.

What is your favorite Trader Joe's product?

  1. I am excited. I've been hoping and blogging about it for years and feel more anticipation than I do for Christmas. Thank you, Trader Joe's!

    1. I agree, it does feel a bit like Christmas! Our family Christmas morning treat basket will most certainly include a few key Trader Joe's items!
