Should You Blog?

In my blog travels, I've noticed a common theme - that at some point, many of us wonder IF we belong, and HOW we belong in this blogging world.

What and who are we? Are we clever, faithful, funny, helpful, honest, insightful, inspirational, motivational, [adjective of your choice]?

What do we have to say?

Will we be accepted, admired, loved and respected?

Will we be Featured, Followed, Liked, Repinned, Shared, and Viewed?

In spite of how you may feel, you are priceless. YOU ARE THE ONLY YOU.
The blogger with the eerily familiar blog theme and template, still isn't you.

You are your own unique "recipe" of personality, upbringing, experience, and so much more. Only, you can't be duplicated. As a blogger, you have your own place in this blogosphere, and value TO BEGIN WITH

So there's room for improvement. Aren't you glad??

I'm glad that one man's 'junk' is another man's 'treasure.'  I'm REALLY glad your gifts/insights/strengths/talents help me to find answers to my questions and solutions to my problems. Even your mistakes help and inspire me. Consider the meaningful relationships you've built with people who taught you something. With people who compliment you, and who you compliment.

We can waste a lot of time/energy doubting our worth as a blogger, and
competing with/edging out another blog/blogger.
OR
We can use our time/energy to fill our own blog(s) with meaning.

What ideas, insights, or experiences have made you...
...LAUGH?
...HAPPIER?
...HUMBLE?
...STRONGER?
...WISER?
The possibilities are endless.

Should you blog? YES. Yes, you most certainly should.

  1. Well said. I fall into the comparison trap a lot, but I really enjoy blogging and I try to remember that's why I keep doing it :)

    1. Thanks Julie. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has felt this way. And please, keep doing it!
